Zebra 2 - Creating a Psytrance Full On Bass
In this Zebra 2 – Creating a Psytrance Full On Bass we use 2 oscillators, 1 in single and 1 in Quad mode to give us a big chunky saw wave sound.
We use a V.C.F (voltage control filter) in Low Pass Vintage mode and adapt the cutoff to give us a smooth bass sound to work with and also use an Envelope to modulate the filters cutoff frequency.
In Zebra 2 – Creating a Psytrance Full On Bass we use velocity to add a different feel to the bass compared to a static bass-line where no velocity effects the sound.
This is a basic video showing you the very basics of achieving this sound so with a little imagination you can really create some awesome bass sounds with very little effort.
Even though Zebra 2 – Creating a Psytrance Full On Bass is a basic tutorial hopefully you will start to use these examples as templates which, in-turn, will speed up your workflow and get you making awesome music much, much quicker.
