Making a Custom Vinyl Scratch Effect with Reaktor
This is one of those effects units that can be used in so many different situations, that every Reaktor user should have it at the ready in their production arsenal. But it also does so much more than just a vinyl scratch effect! In fact it can be used to delay, stretch, glitch, reverse or stutter your sounds as well! It really is a quite versatile effects unit that you are about to learn how to make. And once you are done following along with this video tutorial, you can begin experimenting with combining this effect with some of your other favorites within Reaktor to build truly unique and remarkable new sounds and sample variations. It is also easily bypassed, so you can have it ready and waiting in a project, or live performance, to use whenever the moment is right.
This whole thing is made possible by the Integrator and Separator modules. They are the key elements that help you select and manipulate the audio in the ways in which you imagine them, without having to decipher or understand exactly how the signal processing is actually happening! It really helps to have a truly priceless source of inspiration, explanations and examples from a brilliant mind like salamanderanagram’s! We are quite lucky to have him in the mix here at ReaktorTutorials.com.
