Sequencing in Reaktor – How to build your own sequencing tools
Reaktor’s Sequencer modules are the gateway to creating powerful, user-friendly tools for modulation and automation.
This is an accelerated program that teaches you how to use the sequencer module in Reaktor. Using real-time demonstration to make complex concepts easy to follow, This course will give you useable skills you can start applying instantly to your own projects.
How to use the sequencer module in Reaktor
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS COURSE
Learn how to create several types of sequencers, including one that functions in a similar way to Massive’s popular ‘Stepper’ modulator. You’ll discover a unique modulation system allows for flexible interaction between your sequencers and any knob in Reaktor. You’ll also introduce a multi-slider GUI that greatly improves the look and feel.
Video 1 – Basic Sequencers in Reaktor
In this video, I show how to use the Multiplex 16 module in two different configurations. In one, the sequencer is synced to the MIDI position, in the other, it can be synced by incoming MIDI notes for use as a modulator.
Video 2 – Using Sequencers as Modulators
Using one of the sequencers from the previous video, I show how to connect it to any parameter inside Reaktor.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Reaktor power user and lead tutor for nireaktor.com Salamanderanagram has a knack for making Reaktor’s complex modules easier to understand and practical work with. His enviable technical prowess is made accessible by his utilitarian approach to programming. So much so that an hour spent watching him equates to days of trial and error – That is if you can find the solution on your own at all!
Video 3 – Multi-Slider GUI
This video focuses on creating a GUI for use with the sequencers that is easier to use than the 16 knob setups from the previous videos.
Video 4 – Using the 16-Step Module
In this video, I show how to use the 16-Step module to modulate parameters at the beginning of each new wavecycle.
