How to Connect a Reaktor Ensemble to an Instrument
For this example the classic Reaktor ensemble synthesizer Junatik is loaded up first. By default, and you can see this in the Structure view, this particular instrument has a Stereo Delay unit attached to it. Now we want to connect a instrument to it, specifically a sequencer called Spiral. To do this, you must first be in Structure View. When you try to drag it into the environment window to connect it to the original Reaktor Ensemble you will get a warning saying something along the lines of it being in Reaktor 4 Legacy Mode, which can cause some problems. You should have the option to simply turn off that legacy mode status and continue on. You can also be proactive and turn off legacy mode before you ever select the instrument you are trying to add.
The next step is to click on the Junatik module in Structure View so it is selected. Now you can open its Properties window and click on the Connect button. Here you will find a drop down menu labeled Select Instruments with the currently available options listed. If you have added Spiral to the environment window already it should be one of those options. Go ahead and select it. Once this is done, you should be able to use them together! Enjoy exploring the options available to you now that you have a Reaktor ensemble and an instrument connected!
