The Power of MIDI

MIDI, a technology that we’re constantly using as electronic musicians, is quite fascinating in terms of how it works. In this video, titled “The Power of MIDI,” we get introduced to the underlying concepts of how MIDI functions.

Something we often take for granted with MIDI is the fast speed in which the data is communicated from controller to computer. Inevitably, there will always be a small amount of latency, however, it’s pretty cool that MIDI allows us to play virtual instruments in near real-time.
