In this tutorial, building risers using only the Maschine software is covered.
In this tutorial, we look at making buildups and risers using only the built-in Maschine effects, drum synths, and sampler. We’ve shown how to make risers in a number of tutorials and with different synths on our various sites in the ADSR network, but it’s also possible to make them right inside of Maschine. In this example, we’re using a drum synth and an effects chain, which we then sample and reverse.
These risers and buildup sounds can be very simple, very complex, or anywhere in between. The simplest of all risers can be made with the sound a white noise burst through a reverb reversed. This sound uses reverb and a number of different effect including the beat delay, flanger, and digital lo-fi. For more complex and more tonal risers, Maschine users can look Massive, which is now part of the Maschine product, and to our tutorials on massivesynth.com.
