Drag and drop MIDI and WAV files In Maschine
In this video for Maschine software, learn how to use the drag and drop MIDI/WAV features. These are helpful for transitioning from Maschine to a DAW as well as for internal workflow enhancements.
When working with a pattern, you have the option to drag and drop the pattern’s MIDI or WAV data. I show a few different scenarios where this feature can offer a fast workflow.
If you want to create an audio file from a specific pattern, just drag the WAV data to a new sound slot. This sound can be effected or chopped up, then re-sequenced into the project.
If you want to quickly layer different sounds and create a combination sample, just make a new pattern and sequence a note for each individual sound. Then, drag the pattern audio to a new sound slot, and you’ll have a rendered WAV file of the combination.
Finally, you can drag and drop MIDI to quickly copy and paste notes to a new sound slot. This could be helpful if you were trying to audition different sounds and wanted the same MIDI sequence to play on all of them.
