Machine Drum Junction 2

We continue the exploration of The Machine Drum Junction series by teaming up with Producer Tommy Vamoz from the Netherlands who has been making beats from 1999, working with Artist around the globe from Sixman to Danker Harve.

Going back and fourth with Tommy on the collaboration of this sample pack, we was able combine a unique approach to sampling unclean vinyl drum textures with he’s treasure trove of analog gear, lending authenticity to the Layercake Samples series in the true form that the golden era of hip hop is well know for.

Designing thumping kicks, dusty snares & crispy grain like Hi Hats. We went the extra mile by additional recordings of unique percussion one shots and we even took the drums and ran them through a high quality tape cassette recorder, driving the input adding another layer of textures of lofi crunch variation with natural tape compression.

The Sound is full of Dust, Grit, & Crunch!! Welcome back to the 90’s era of Hip Hop.
