Create Ableton Project Files From iOS Music-Making Apps
Today, Ableton announced Live Set Export, an iOS development library that allows an application to create Ableton project files, as well as the full project infrastructure and audio file dependencies.
“After creating a project, either audio or MIDI tracks can be appended to it. A song must have at least one track, or else cannot be written to disk. Tracks cannot be reordered, they must be added to the song in the order which they should appear.”
Given how prevalent iOS music-making has become, being able to transfer this app data to Ableton really takes things full circle. Hopefully, we will see more mobile apps begin to integrate Live Set Export.
