Teenage Engineering OP-1 Is Back In Stock
Following the latest press release from teenage engineering, we’ve learned that the OP-1 synthesizer is now back in stock, after being put on hold for over a year. You can read the full statement below:
after being out of stock for more than a year with rumours of its demise, we are very happy to let you know that finally, the OP-1 is back and here to stay!
so what happened?
during our nine years of production, we have been very lucky in having a steady supply of the components needed for the OP-1. but last year we suddenly found ourselves without the amoled screen needed and nowhere to find new ones in the same high quality. but after a long time sourcing the perfect replacement, we have finally found it, and we will now be able to fulfil the demand that’s been growing for the past year.
we want to give a big thank you to all our customers for their patience!
isn’t that great news for valentines day!
history of the OP-1
the OP-1 was teenage engineerings first product. developed by a minimal team. when shown as a prototype for the first time at musikmesse 2009, it got a lot of attention but most speculated that it was vapourware as it was so small with so much inside. when released at NAMM 2010 the first batch was sold out in less than 30 minutes. the OP-1 has since then been used by world famous artists.
Pricing and Availability
The teenage engineering OP-1 is priced at $1299/£1100 and you can visit the teenage engineering website to learn more.
