Recording A Room In A Room 20 Times
In this video from Look Mum No Computer, we watch a demonstration of Alvin Lucier’s original I Am Sitting In A Room, a recording experiment in which a feedback loop is created from harmonic resonances within a room.
The fact that a single sound can become so endlessly augmented by a room’s acoustic reflections in this experiment, it certainly justifies the importance of having a studio that is acoustically treated when creating transparent mixes.
