PERC: MIDI Synced Robotic Drummer

Can you imagine a MIDI track being played by a real person? Well, the Polyend PERC comes pretty darn close to this, providing robotic balls that strike a drum kit corresponding to MIDI tracks from Ableton Live.

This device is obviously ahead of its time, using an acoustic kit to play what would normally be digital drum samples. With the balls striking the kit at microsecond speeds, this machine would be great for fast tempo genres like D&B, performing better and faster than a human ever could.
