Making A Song With Google Translate and Ableton Live
In this video from Youtuber once upon a synth, we see how the ubiquitous Google Translate can be used alongside Ableton Live to turn a variety of vocal chops into a complete song.
From the video’s description:
Making a song from scratch using Google Translate’s text-to-speech feature. I will sample various words and manipulate them in Ableton Live. I’m also going to use a 606 for drums and a Massive bass patch. Otherwise all sounds will be from TTS. #onesynthchallenge
This goes to show that just about any sound source can be used in musical ways with enough creativity and inspiration.
