Filter Guessing Game - Moog Grandmother vs Sub 37
In this video from Youtuber Noir Et Blanc Vie, we get a blind test between the filters on the Moog Grandmother and the Sub 37 monophonic analog synthesizers. Which synth is your favorite?
From the video’s description, he comments:
P.S. I know the Grandmother can be “duophonic” but that requires another external CV control and I didn’t want to include features outside of what the synth can natively accomplish.
For any synthesizer, the sonic behavior of its low-pass filters are often a defining characteristic that separates one synthesizer from the next. For this, it was a great choice to use the Sub 37 and Grandmother’s filters as a means for comparison!
