Upcoming 808 Documentary Featuring Pharrell, Rick Rubin

If you’ve listened to any popular song, or spent at least 5 minutes in the production world, chances are you’ve heard the 808 kick drum inspired by the Roland TR-808. Given the drum machines extensive influence, Apple Music has partnered with Atlantic Films to release a documentary about the machine.

Something exciting about the film is that it will feature discussions with many key-artists in the industry, including Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams, and more. Undoubtedly something to look forward to, it is set for release on December 9th via Apple Music.
