Ableton Live on Stage with Matt Katz-Bohen
Blondie keyboard player Matt Katz-Bohen gives a walkthrough of his live set using Ableton Live. During a performance, he uses the M-Audio Oxygen 61 MIDI controller to trigger scenes, as well as one shot samples.
Bohen indicates the importance of timing by using a click track during a performance. Referencing many of Blondie’s popular songs, he loads up the click and listens to it before triggering a scene. Bohen also demonstrates how he maps his Oxygen 61 to trigger different parts of a song’s arrangement. Read more here.
