1975 Minimoog Vs. Arturia iMini - Sound Comparison
In this video from Johan Segeborn, we get to hear the original 1975 Minimoog Model D faceoff against the Arturia iMini Synthesizer, an iPad synth from that attempts to emulate the vintage sounds of the original Minimoog.
After listening to the sound comparison, there’s no doubt that the Arturia iMini does a great job in recreating the tone and presence of the 1975 Minimoog. However, listening to the video through studio monitors or hi-fi headphones may allow you to hear some noticeable differences.
The Minimoog Model D has played a large role in the synth world, bringing Moog to revive the synth and unfortunately cease production shortly afterwards. Also, you are probably no stranger to Behringer’s latest Model D emulation, being priced for only $299.
