Access virus ti tutorial - trance gate

In this latest tutorial i show how to make a gated pad or “Trancegate” using the Virus Ti.

You can use this effect with virtually any combination of waveforms or effects, but for this one i stuck to a classic trance style gated pad.

So i used the Virus’s unique oscillators once again for oscillators 1 and 2, the Hypersaw . A pulse on osc 3, an octave down changed it up a bit. The gated rhythm is all achieved with the arpeggiator. quite easy to set up and a very useful effect. A short sequence repeated over and over at a quick rate, 1/16, is needed to create the sound. all of the other effects are optional. The ones i chose were for the purpose of making the sound wider and fuller. They were, Stereo widener, hyper chorus, classic delay and a reverb. Adding the Arp note length to Soft Knob 1 enables you to change the note length on the fly, useful for live playing or modulation inside your DAW.
