In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works shows you how to use the distortion effect in Sylenth to make more creative sounds.

In some synths, distortion is just something that makes a sound louder and dirtier. However, the distortion FX in Sylenth are very musical sounding.

Sylenth has 5 types of distortion and each module has it’s own sonic flavor. Some work best on basses and leads that need to be huge and gritty while others work well to add some warmth and subtle character.

In this video I go over how I like to use certain types of distortions for basses, leads and plucks.
