This introductory course is designed get you up and running with Reason 10 as fast as possible, walking you through the interface and Reason 10s features and functions right through to how to make a working track using all the creative features on offer.

ieolia is a young and hungry music producer from Canada. His passion for teaching is second only to his appetite for learning in the music field. He’s a huge proponent of independent practice. ieolia primarily produces EDM flavoured music with intermittent acoustical songs such as piano, or orchestral pieces.
MODULE 1 – Reason 10 Basics
Getting Started With Reason – This video frames the content of the entire course, as well as diving into Reason’s preferences
Reason’s Interface – This video covers Reason’s: Sequencer, Browser, Mixer, Rack, Piano Roll, & Audio edit modes
Making Tracks – This video will look at the Mix & Audio Track, the Track Programmer, Parallel Tracks, and how the interactive routing of reason works.
Reason’s Instruments – In this video you’ll get to see all of the Native Reason Instrument Devices. Go in depth with some of the standouts and explore some presets on a handful of the devices.
Reason’s Effects – Explore all of the Native Reason Effect Devices there’s some pretty gnarly options to discover here!
Putting Together a Beat With Patches – This episode you’ll start making a song kicking off with an Europa patch with the scales and chords device and the Arp device, throwing in a rexloop and adding a pad with the Grain instrument.
MODULE 2 – Working with Reason 10
Setting Up Sidechain & Sends – Using the song from, the previous episode, ieolia walks you through his method of creating a versatile sidechain setup and how simple it is to make sends on the master channel in Reason 10.
Working With Midi – Revisit midi editing by recording an arpeggio with the Klang instrument as another sound for our working track. Go more in depth with quantizing your midi, manually adjusting some notes on the piano roll, changing the velocities, and work with the hidden tool window for advanced midi editing.
Working With Audio – This video you will take a vocal pack and explore the 3 audio editing tools in depth as we continue to build our track in Reason 10.
Automation – In this video learn how to create automation lanes and understand the way Reason performs automation.
Basic Mixing & Mastering – In the final episode you will take the song we have been building and do a basic mix using reasons stock equalizer as well as throwing the M-class Maximizer, Synapse EQ and kHz limiter on the master to make our song feel complete as the course comes to an end.
