Why Ableton Live 10 Deserves The Hype

Undoubtedly, you’re aware that Ableton Live 10 is among us; however, you may be thinking oh great, another new update, who cares? – think not! The tenth edition to this well known DAW offers more than meets the eye, and the videos below will help you understand why.

Wavetable
First of all, there’s a whole new freakin’ synth! It’s called Wavetable, and as the name implies, it’s a wavetable synthesizer that can not only produce unimaginable sounds, but its automation-ready parameters controlling modulation, sample modifications and more honestly just kick ass!

Echo
Live 10 also brings a brand new effects processor named Echo. Although we producers cringe when lesser beings (excuse our humor) refer to delay as echo, the new Live 10 Echo is an analog-influenced delay effect with lots of promise. Check out what it can do in the video below.

Drum Buss
If you’re still seeking more incentive for grabbing Live 10, the upgraded DAW offers another new device named Drum Buss, and it integrates your traditional drum bus processing (or any bus or group) into one single effect, combining harmonic excitement, compression, transient shapers, EQ and more.
