Using A Tape Machine As A Musical Instrument

In this video from Analog Industries, we see how a 4-track tape machine can be used, literally, as a musical instrument. While many regard tape machines as an obsolete means of recording music, this video proves this notion wrong.

As you can see, he uses each of the four tracks on the tape machine to host four different voicings of the same chord, created by a soft synth in Ableton Live. While looping these chords in session view, he has endless creative control of each chord using the tape machine.
