Tone Lab Lets You Create Sounds With Stackable Chips
Tone Lab is a new DIY synthesizer kit that lets users create sounds by stacking up, literally, each of the individual linear elements that produce the sound, from the oscillator to its effects.
The project is designed to aid beginning users in simplifying music production, using the complexities of today’s DAWs as an example. While the functions of today’s DAW vastly exceed single sound creation, we can certainly see the value in Tone Lab among users wishing to get their feet wet in digital music creation.
Tone Lab currently exists as a proof of concept, and we can probably expect a crowdfunding campaign for Tone Lab in the near future. You can visit Colin Hearon’s website, the creator of Tone Lab, to learn more.
