Thick Analogue Tones With The EDP WASP

In this video, we get a demonstration of the EDP WASP, an analogue synthesizer used by influential artists including 808 State and Jean-Michel Jarre. Undoubtedly a synth with some history, it’s a pleasure to hear the rich harmonic content that it produces.

While the synth is monophonic with only two oscillators, we can clearly hear the thick and meaty tones it produces. With many soft synths offering up to 32 voices, this video demonstrates how analogue synths such as the WASP can create an equal quality sound with much less.
