The Hyve Touch Synthesizer Has Launched
The Hyve touch synthesizer is now available for purchase via the Kickstarter page. The project has already reached over twice its original funding goal, receiving over $40,000 in pledges. The Hyve has certainly attracted a buzz over the past six months, and it is expected to be shipped in September 2017.
It’s a 60-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer that is controlled by pressure, horizontal, and vertical movements of each finger on the surface. Even the smallest wiggle of your finger makes the sound come alive, giving expression to the music you make.

The ready-to-play unit goes for $299, while the circuit board and DIY kit go for $79 and $149, respectively. While we’re not sure if we would throw down $299 for the Hyve, there’s no question that it would be a ton of fun to play with. Not only this, but we like that the synth can be easily used by anyone, from advanced musicians to the humblest of beginners.
