Superbooth 2017: Hear Behringer's $400 Model D Clone
One of Behringer’s latest creations that has captivated all of our attention is their new clone of the Minimoog Model D. In this video from Superbooth 2017, provided by Synthtopia, Behringer engineer Pete Sadler gives us a comprehensive sound demo of the clone.
Behringer’s decision to create the Model D clone (and stunning execution we must say) has engaged its fair share of controversy, causing some to feel that Behringer is sacrificing the integrity of original products and diminishing the allure of the original Model D. Although, many look past the fact that synth cloning has been popular for quite some time.
In our opinion, if there is any company that is well-equipped and driven to successfully clone a classic synth, it is Behringer, as they have proven time and time again to be an excellent synth manufacturer. Not only this, but their development has always been driven from users’ feedback and feature requests.
