Reason 9.5 Is Available - Introduces VST Support
Today, Propellerhead has officially released Reason 9.5, an update that finally allows users of Reason to dip their feet into the vast ocean of 3rd party instruments and effects processors.
Mattias Häggström Gerdt, the Product Manager of Reason, explains:
We’ve seen some amazing VST instruments and effects that are available in the market, and we simply wanted our Reason users to have access to them without compromising Reason’s unique workflow […]
There aren’t many people that doubt the power and quality of Reason’s native plugins. This is evident in the fact that Reason users have used them since the DAW’s inception without voicing a whole lot of complaints about a lack of VST support. However, the benefit of having this 3rd party compatibility is enormous, and users of Reason now have the upper hand.
Reason 9.5 is available for download at a price of $449 / EUR €405, and is free for current users of Reason 9. For users of previous versions of Reason, the upgrade to 9 is USD $129 / EUR €129.
