Propellerhead Releases Layers, Rack Extension That Samples 80s and 90s Synthesizers
Propellerhead has released Layers, a new Reason Rack Extension for Reason that supplies 10 sampled instruments of vintage synthesizers including the Roland Juno-60 and Korg MS-20. You can watch Propellerhead’s nostalgic, 80s-esque introduction video below.

Features
- Programmer section: These settings are per layer and you select the layer you want to edit with the button in the edit section.
- Pitch: Fine tune or create intervals.
- Trig delay: Create strums arpeggios or buildups with the individual trig delay setting for each layer.
- Filter: Set the envelope curve for the active layer’s filter.
- Effect settings: The insert effects (Distortion and Flanger) are separate for each layer.
- Pan: Set pan modulation from LFO or velocity.
- Amp: Set amp modulation from LFO, Control Wheel or velocity.
- Delay and Reverb: The send effects are global and available for all Layers as send effects.
- Compressor: Glue the sound together with the built-in compressor.
