Playing A Modular Synth With A Wooden Box
In this video from Youtuber Trübüla, we watch a modular synth being played using the mere touch response from a wooden box. To make this possible, he uses a contact microphone with the Koma Field Kit, a machine that converts just about any incoming signal and outputs a control voltage.
The envelope follower of the kit provide the CV and gate for everything. Two channel of the O_c provide notes for the Sputinik Dual Oscillator and the Make Noise STO. The Harmonic sound is by the amazing couple Make Noise Maths + Optomix.
The Koma Field Kit initially debuted on Kickstarter in December of last year, and it punched through its €20,000 fundraising goal by a wopping €299,777. You can visit the product website to grab one of your own.
