New Eurorack Filter Module Inspired By Roland Jupiter-6
System 80 has released JOVE, a Eurorack filter module inspired by the filter found on the classic Roland Jupiter-6. While it’s not an exact replica, it supplies 3 of the original Jupiter-6 LP, BP and HP filter modes, as well as an extra 24 dB low-pass. Additionally, it has two inputs for both cutoff frequency and resonance.
JOVE was born out of our obsession with vintage Roland filters based around the IR3109 Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA). We designed an OTA-based filter that doesn’t rely on this rare and expensive vintage part.
Features
- 4 modes: 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass, band pass and high pass
- 2 audio inputs, one log attenuated and one non-attenuated
- 2 frequency CV inputs, one unipolar input and one attenuverted input
- 1 resonance CV input, non-attenuated
You can listen to a few sound demos of JOVE below.
JOVE is available for purchase at a price of $240, and you visit the System 80 website to learn more.
