Kiasmos push Live Experimental Techno to the Edge
Icelandic duo Kiasmos are contemporary classic composer Ólafur Arnalds and techno artist Janus Rasmussen.
Since their critically adored self titled debut album, released in 2014, the duo have taken their live show around the globe taking in performances at some of the world’s biggest festivals and clubs, blurring the boundaries between Arnalds glitchy ambient strings and Rasmussen’s analog techno. This music works for the feet and the head, which has seen their tunes popping up on both classical fan’s iPods and techno DJs record bags.
In this video they perform live for Seattle’s celebrated KEXP radio, dropping two brand new monster cuts from their Swept EP plus a classic off their debut album. It’s gorgeous stuff and worth a look for gear junkies too!
