In-Browser Drum Machine Uses Deep Learning To Create New Loops
Neural Drum Machine is an in-browser (Firefox recommended) drum machine that uses Google Magenta’s machine learning algorithms to create unique drum loops from user input. All you have to do is create a few notes to the left of the slider, hit the refresh button, and the app will finish off the loop!
The browser app even offers parameters that include Pattern length, Tempo, Swing and Temperature, allowing you to customize the kind of drum loop that the algorithm creates. Interestingly, higher values to the Temperature parameter will result in more randomized, wild-sounding loops.
The Neural Drum Machine app uses Google Magenta’s Drums RNN machine learning algorithm, and you can learn more about the algorithm via Github.
