Headphones That Get You High

We all know the fantastic feeling of chills down your spine while a great song is playing. However, what if a similar feeling could be induced? NERVANA, A tech company based in Florida, asked the same question and developed a new pair of headphones that do exactly that.

Similar to how a drug produces a high, these headphones trick the user’s brain into releasing dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for the brain’s pleasure and reward pathways. This sophisticated process takes place via a modulated signal, being emitted from the headphones, going straight to the user’s vagus nerve, controlling both sensory and motor skills.
