Creating Tape Loops With Mono Analog Tape Deck

In this video, we watch Chris Randall from Analog Industries create tape loops with the Nagra III mono 1/4″ analog tape deck. Recording audio straight from his phone, this is quite an interesting demonstration.

Using tape to record music was once the bread and butter of any producer’s workflow. However, in today’s digital world, the use of tape decks has become esoteric and inherently, obselete. For this, it’s pretty special to see them still being used.
