Art Installation Inspired By Synesthesia
In an article from The Creators Project, we get acquainted with Collide, an art installation that creates powerful, colorful visualizations from recorded motion data. As seen in the video, the music used for the soundscape was recorded by three cellists in VR, acting as a bridge between the motion data and actual music.
The installation was inspired by the mental phenomenon known as synesthesia, a cognitive process in which multiple senses such as sight and sound are used together. Quite an interesting occurrence, Collide expresses this in a very unique way.
