Dan Matic, an aspiring bedroom producer, describes his inspirations as well as his principles as a musician. Matic explains, “we all have the same basic tools for creation, so stop making up excuses and use them.” He continues to say that he would use his phone to record samples on the go, later compiling them into his own sample libraries at home.

Matic’s message to musicians: “stay committed to your music and build a catalog of tracks.” Wise words to say the least, musicians know the occasional feeling of disappointment with certain songs we make. Despite this, we all know those euphoric moments when we make something we really like. The most important thing, as Matic emphasizes, is that we stay dedicated to our craft.
